Christmas shopping & cinema trips

I finally started my Christmas shopping at the beginning of the month. I was so on it last year, I had all my presents bought and wrapped by October, but this year I've left it a little "late". I've made it my mission to shop from mostly independent businesses this year and so far I've done pretty well, I've managed to find some real gems that I think my family will love.

I've not quite done with shopping yet - I have a few more people to buy for - but I'm waiting (im)patiently for pay day so I can tick a few more presents off my list and stock up on gift bags. I've never been able to master wrapping so I tend to just bag everything and leave it at that. I'm the laziest gift wrapper that's ever existed.

This year I've reined the Christmas hype in a bit. Usually at this point in the year I have the Christmas vinyl out, I've decorated my room etc. but this year I'm waiting until the very end of the month so I don't get tired of it quickly. I haven't listened to a single Christmas song yet this year, I'm proud of myself. I don't know how I've managed it.

In other news, I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody last Sunday. It was phenomenal. I have listened to and loved Queen for years, but this film just had so much heart and soul that when I listen to their music now I feel so much more. There's so much emotion and love in the lyrics that I'd never paid attention to before, and the way the film tells Freddie's story made me feel like I got to know him and the band personally. It was just so epic. You feel every song in your core.

I've also started the second module of my Interior Design course. This one is a bit trickier and has some assignments that are going to require a couple of days to work on, so I'm a bit nervous to start. I've decided to get the shorter and easier assignments out of the way first then work on the big 'uns. I can already see it's going to get tougher but I guess it wouldn't be worth it if the whole course was easy peasy, right?

Hope you guys have had a lovely weekend. Today I'm going to stay in from the rain and do some work, and maybe listen to Queen on repeat.
