Not that anyone's noticed, but I haven't blogged in almost two weeks. Not felt very motivated, but what's new?

Shopping has officially tired me out.

I am over the high street, I am over cheap clothes that don't last a season, I am over throwing money at things I don't need, and I am over the need to buy things when I feel down. I want to stop this, but I know it'll take time. I have been more sensible when shopping in the last couple of years, but there's still a lot of improvements to be made. I'm not perfect and sometimes I still buy things I don't need or that aren't the best quality, but I have also made some great investments and my wardrobe is looking the best it's looked in years. But I can definitely do better.

Yesterday, thanks to the 3 for 2 offer at Boots and my step-dad for kindly purchasing, I got my hands on a bamboo razor by Bulldog. It has a bamboo handle and a head with five stainless steel blades. It's really weighty and gorgeous to hold. It also comes in fully recycled packaging which I adore. I'm trying this out as a replacement for my usual disposable razors.

I also ordered some reusable cotton rounds from LittleGreenCraft on Etsy in an effort to use fewer cotton wool pads. I still have loads of cotton wool ones to use but I will just alternate between those and the reusable ones 'til I run out. I wish I could do more but making these small changes is better than making no changes at all.

Aside from that I'm now starting my Christmas shopping but I have no idea what to buy for people. I don't want to buy them things they won't truly love and use so I'm going to have to do a lot of research.

Oh, and I've started my diploma! It's been a week and so far I've completed two assignments out of four. I'm getting there, slowly but surely. I still have just under two weeks to go before it's all due so I'm not too worried. It's been a while since I was in education (only two and a half years, but still...) so getting back into the swing of things has been tough but I'm doing alright.

Hope you guys have a fun weekend. I'm working today but I have two days off after this where I'm planning to relax, read, and eat delicious food after not being able to smell or taste anything from a cold.
