June bedroom details

Saturday, 9 June 2018

Hi!

I thought I'd show you some new additions to my bedroom seeing as I've just cleaned and tidied it from top to bottom and there isn't seven layers of dust on all my things for once.

I've got rid of a few things too (bye bye, Tsum Tsum collection) and took a picture or two down so my walls don't look as cluttered. Bed is still lathered in cushions, though. That'll never change.

I purchased this lamp a few weeks ago actually - I didn't want a lamp with silver hardware anymore so I went for this simple wood one from Asda instead with an off-white shade. It's smaller too so it doesn't take up as much space on my table. I've incorporated so much gold and wood into my room that silver sticks out like a sore thumb now.

The curtains arrived recently and I love them a lot - I've had a voile up for as long as I can remember, but the lack of privacy has started to bother me so I opted for these floral lined curtains. They're not black-out curtains so they let just the right amount of light in in a morning.

I think this basket was something ridiculously cheap like £5. It's so cute I couldn't leave without it, even though I had no clue where it would go or what I'd put in it. It has a pink painted bottom (can't see it too well in the photo) and fits my singles in nicely. Also adds a bit of character to this often-neglected corner of my room.

Can't remember for the life of me what this candle is called, but it's fruity and punchy and very summery. Kinda smells like a cocktail. In the UK you'll find Sand + Fog candles at TK Maxx or on Amazon (because they're a US brand). Totally worth purchasing just for the frosted jar and carved design lid.

P.S. The app I used for that cool vintage filter on the first photo is called Kuji Cam. It's available on Google Play here.

  1. Asda do some of the best homeware bits and bobs, those curtains are lovely!

I really like that basket too and £5 is an absolute steal. Think it would go nicely in a living room, filled with magazines and books xx

    1. Asda is one of my favourite places to go for homeware, they knock it out of the park every time and they're so affordable I don't know how they do it.

It would look great with magazines in, if I had more space in my room I'd put a plant in it and use it as a pot :) so many uses!
